Ranny Cottage is located in a quiet setting, a half mile off the Ardara to Portnoo Road, and two miles from Ardara itself. It is situated in its own grounds in the middle of an area of special conservation.

Close by, the sea enters the mouth of the Owenea River which is famous for its salmon. When the tide is out, you can walk across the bay to the village of Ardara. To the west of the cottage you can see the beautiful Loughros Point with Kilcashal and the Yellow Banks to the fore. The sand and rocks on the sea front to the west of the cottage create an ambience of special serenity. You can walk for miles along the coast and forget the fast moving world around you - at Ranny Cottage.

The only disturbance you will encounter will be the gentle lapping of waves in the early morning, the sound of the birds along the shore or cattle grazing in the morning dew. The cottage is of 1950's design with a traditional style living room featuring an open fire and flagstone floor. The kitchen is well equipped with washing machine and microwave.

The cottage was recently upgraded to include a wonderful sunroom with stunning views of the sea. The cottage features 3 bedrooms with a double bed in each room. There is also a shower room with w.c. and separate guest w.c.

There are sea views from each bedroom in the house and its location is simply superb for those who want a peaceful break.
